Naturalist butterfly plate in a study poster

Pinned butterflies poster in a naturalist’s study

A deep blue wall surrounds a naturalist’s desk, where light from an arched window falls on copper-toned wood. On the table rest 2 framed plates where red, blue and green butterflies are pinned in neat rows. Around them, the observer’s tools tell the story of the work: a specimen drawer left open, a magnifying glass, a field notebook and, leaning against the furniture, a long-handled butterfly net. This butterfly poster evokes the calm of a cabinet of curiosities and the patience of someone who sorts and observes. The title “WINGED STUDY” crowns the scene, presented in a horizontal format.

For a desk, a bookshelf or a curious mind

Its landscape format easily fits above a desk, a low bookshelf or a dresser. The warm wood tones and the vivid colors of the wings pair well with walnut, leather, globes and bound books. In a curious child’s bedroom, it sits nicely alongside nature plates or posters of insects and flowers. It makes a great gift for an entomology enthusiast, a biology teacher or a collector who loves the atmosphere of cabinets of curiosities.
