Valerian medicinal plant poster

Common valerian botanical plate poster

Common valerian, Valeriana officinalis, is shown here in full: its tall stem, clusters of small bright pink flowers, broad oval leaves and even its roots sunk in brown soil. This valerian poster adopts the precise line work of botanical plates, halfway between a herbarium and a herbal medicine treatise. The delicate pinks and soft greens make for a serene image, in keeping with the plant’s soothing reputation. The title “CALM VALERIAN” accompanies this study in a vertical format.

A soothing plant for the bedroom or a practice

Its soft tones suit a bedroom, a bathroom, a reading nook, an apothecary or a naturopath’s office. It pairs well with linen, light wood, wicker, glass jars and dried plants. It forms a lovely series with other medicinal plant plates. It will be warmly welcomed as a gift for an herbalist, a pharmacist, a sophrologist, a botany student or a friend who loves evening herbal teas.
